Nothing you do not use
Heavy components are downloaded only when you ask
The installer contains the workspace itself. Tools that only some people need are offered with an “Install” button the first time you use the feature, so they never slow down everyone else.
Language tools
Language servers, formatters and debuggers are proposed per language, the first time you open a file of that type.
Local web stack
PHP, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and WordPress are installed from the Local server page when you create your first site.
AI models that run locally
Face restoration (340 MB), local voice (1.5 GB), voice cloning (131 MB) and photo-to-3D are optional downloads.
Phone tools
The Android tools (adb) are downloaded from the Remote panel when you connect your first phone.
Git and AI CLIs
Git and the AI command-line tools are detected if you already have them; otherwise one button installs them.
Video engine for the browser
Microsoft WebView2 can be added from the settings for sites that need protected video playback.

GPU or CPU, your choice
Settings → Graphics card and compute lets you choose Automatic, GPU or CPU for the AI compute engine, and which graphics card to use.
Recordings ready at Stop
Video is encoded while it is recorded. A recording of several hours is a finished MP4 the moment you press Stop.
Seven layouts and Zen mode
Focused code, AI first, AI on the left, Terminal / server, Web / browser, Mobile / Remote — or hide everything with Zen mode.
Detach any panel
The chat, the terminal, the browser, the design page and the recorder bar can each move to their own window, for a second screen.
Updates you can undo
Each update is checked by size and SHA-256 before it is installed, your data is backed up first, and Help → Roll back returns to one of the last three versions.
No administrator rights
WASDEV installs for the current Windows user. It does not need an administrator password to install or to update.
