Yes. Your projects belong to you, and the 252 bundled libraries use MIT, Apache-2.0 or BSD licences, which allow commercial use.

No. WASDEV does not provide API keys, AI credits or paid AI subscriptions, and it does not resell them. You connect your own account, your own API key, or a free local model. What you pay for AI, you pay directly to the AI company.

One of three things: an account with Claude, ChatGPT or Google, used through its official CLI; or an API key from one of the sixteen supported providers; or a local engine such as Ollama or LM Studio, which needs nothing.

Yes. Claude Code uses your Claude account, Codex uses your ChatGPT account, Gemini CLI and Antigravity use your Google account. You sign in once in the CLI and WASDEV uses that session. What each subscription allows is decided by its provider.

Yes, with Ollama or LM Studio and a model that your PC can run. The model list is read from the local engine, and nothing is sent to the internet.

Encrypted in Windows Credential Manager, on your PC, under the name WASDEV. They are not written in the project, not in the settings files, and they are never sent to us.

No. Requests go straight from your computer to the AI provider you selected. With a local model they do not leave your computer at all.

That is your choice. Autonomous mode is on by default so the AI can work quickly; turn it off in the tools menu or type /auto off, and each edit is shown as a diff to accept or refuse, and each command asks for permission.

It cannot work outside the open project with the built-in file tools, cannot touch the WASDEV installation folder, cannot read files that hold WASDEV keys, and cannot launch other applications on your PC.

Reading answers aloud uses the Windows voices and needs nothing. Speech-to-text needs an OpenAI or a Google key. Images can be generated through your CLI account, or with a key for Imagen, GPT Image, DALL·E 3, Grok Image, FLUX or Adobe Firefly; video needs a Google key (Veo 3) or an OpenAI key (Sora 2).

A command-line program published by an AI company — Claude Code by Anthropic, Codex by OpenAI, Gemini CLI and Antigravity by Google. It signs in with your account and does the AI work. WASDEV starts it for you and shows the conversation in the chat panel.

Open AI Hub at the top right of the window. Each AI has a card showing Installed, Needs a key or Not installed, with Install, Update, Key / Config and Test buttons. “Install All AI” and “Connect All AI to WASDEV” do it in one click. Most CLIs are installed with npm, so Node.js must be on the PC.

Yes. Type claude, codex, gemini or agy in the WASDEV terminal. The real CLI opens, with WASDEV's tools already connected and the instructions of your project loaded.

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI use external tools: a database, GitHub, a file system, a design service. Each tool provider is called an MCP server.

Open the MCP view in the left bar (Ctrl+Shift+Y) and click Add server. Give it a name, then either a command for a local server (stdio) or a URL for a remote one (HTTP), and any environment variables. You can also edit the mcp_servers.json file directly; it uses the same format as Claude Desktop.

Four are proposed and switched off until you enable them: Adobe Firefly Services, filesystem, fetch and GitHub. Those that need a key need your own. WASDEV also runs its own internal server that gives the AI the built-in browser and the WASDEV tools.

The servers you add are given to the API providers and to Claude Code. Codex, Gemini CLI and Antigravity receive the built-in WASDEV tools; for other servers, configure them in the CLI itself.

Yes. The tools menu of the chat lists every group — read files, write files, run commands, web search, browser, WASDEV tools — and every MCP server, each with its own switch.

A licence keeps the application active. Your projects, documents and designs are ordinary files on your disk and remain yours whatever you decide.

In Profile and Licence, enter your e-mail and the key (WAS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and click Verify. It is not a login: there is no password and no session.

Yes. The licence is re-checked silently about once a week, and if the PC is offline it keeps working for 14 more days before asking for a connection. Everything that is not online AI works offline.

No. The licence is for the application. AI subscriptions, API consumption, hosting and third-party services are paid to their own providers.

No. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, PSD and camera RAW files open and are edited inside WASDEV.

PDF, DOCX, DOCM, DOTX, PPTX, PPTM, PPSX, POTX, XLSX, XLSM and XLTX. OpenDocument spreadsheets (ODS) open read-only for now.

125 languages have syntax highlighting. Completion and go-to-definition exist for Python, TypeScript and JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, C / C++, Rust, Go, Dart and PHP, through language servers installed on request.

Any folder opens as a project. The Design module imports PSD, PSB, SVG, PDF, PPTX and HTML, and saves in its own .wdesign format.

If your host gives you FTP, FTPS or SFTP access, yes. For a VPS, WASDEV can install the HestiaCP panel and put a site online with a Let's Encrypt certificate.

Android phones can be mirrored, browsed and controlled over Wi-Fi or USB. On iPhone, only file access is available.

Yes: extensions are installed from a .wasext or .zip file, and the theme editor lets you create your own theme in addition to the 21 supplied.

Two things only. The licence check sends your e-mail, your key, an anonymous hash that identifies the PC, the app version and the Windows version. The update check sends the WASDEV version number.

WASDEV checks for a new version automatically; you can switch this off in the Help menu. Each download is verified by size and SHA-256 before it is installed.

Yes. Help → Roll back to a previous version reinstalls one of the last three versions. Your data is backed up before every update.
